The Belgian artist Isabelle de Borchgrave has made herself known for her works of art where she recreates historical costumes entirely made out of paper.
They are magically naturalistically executed, and it is only when the viewer comes really close as it appears that it is actually paper and not fabric.
In the summer of 2019, more than 40 works by Isabelle will be displayed in the beautiful halls of Örebro Castle.
It will be a selection of costumes from several ages, from the Renaissance onwards.
Even several shoes will be shown as a flash for Örebro who previously was the center of shoe manufacturing in Sweden.
Work by Isabelle have previously been exhibited all over the world and the costumes shown in Örebro have previously been shown in countries such as Brazil, Japan, USA, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands.
In Sweden Isabelle´s creations have been shown at the Livrust Chamber and Kalmar Castle with several tens of thousands of visitors.
Don’t miss the chance to see these dreamy creations while visiting our castle.
The exhibition will be open between 19 June – 1 September and during 7 of these weeks as a part of our concept ”the summer castle”.
